Tobacco (smoking) pipes are a device consisting of a mouthpiece and a bowl for tobacco. After the discovery of America at the end of the XV century. the pipe, along with tobacco, came to Europe.
Trade relations in the city can be judged by the foreign objects found. First of all, it is a fragment of a faience platter, the painting of which is based on a plot from the myth of Laocoon. There has been an inscription in Latin partially preserved on the backside of the platter. This item belongs to Italian majolica.
There were also found two fragments of a large vessel made in Southern Germany in the XVII century, in the territory of the Castle courtyard. Covered with transparent salt glaze and decorated with a bas-relief of a lion head, the vessel belongs to the so-called Rhenish ceramics. There were found several dozen clay sinkers for fishing nets in the Castle courtyard.
