Chainmail of the XV century, supposedly the Russian one, as it has short sleeves and a collar to protect the neck. The weight of the chainmail is about 7 kg. The wire from which the rings of the chainmail were made should be within 1.3 mm. Battle chainmail should be light enough (on average up to 13 kg), so as not to restrict the movement of a warrior in battle. The chainmail could last almost a lifetime. It was enough to replace the damaged area with new rings. Chain mail was known in Belarus from the X to the middle of the XVIII century.

Helmet of the "Kapalin" type (kettle hat) of the XVII century. Starting from the second half of the XIV century in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, one can notice the use of the "Kapalin" type (kettle hat) helmets. They got their name because of their resemblance to a metal hat.
They are cone-shaped helmets with an "apple" on the tip and narrow brims.
